John is the #1 New York Times bestselling author and illustrator of many acclaimed books for children. He is best known for illustrating the covers of books in the Percy Jackson & the Olympians series.This original artwork was created specially for our 2023 Gala. An ambassador for Wild Tomorrow, John is also the co-creator of Children’s Book Creators for Conservation, which aims to bring like-minded creators together to experience conservation efforts in the field, and share those stories with young readers everywhere.

Lot #101 - Elephants Field Sketch, Original Watercolor by Alison Nicholls

Alison Nicholls, inspired by her years living in Zimbabwe and Botswana, practices plain air painting - the act of painting outdoors. Her wild subjects are observed in their wild settings as she captures details in her art that can only be taken from a natural model. She leads art safaris in South Africa for Africa Geographic and uses the opportunities her talents bring her to learn about conservation issues in detail, later relaying that knowledge in lectures about art, Africa, wildlife, and conservation. Lot #502 -AKORIE Bracelet Set

Set of 3 bracelets hand-made by Grace Aslanian, the founder of Akorie. A charming set of 3 bracelets for that active person who wants to be ready for all occasions. A light blue cut glass pendant framed in shiny gold brass ( 8x8x5.6mm). Seed beads in light pastels are on the sides of the delicate hand woven band, which is adjustable to fit. Hematite beads are added to the ends of the bracelets to give it an artistic look. The second bracelet is a 16K gold plated brass bar which can be worn separate or as a set. The third bracelet can be stacked or worn individually - light blue matching colored beads with Gold Hematite spacers.
