At Wild Tomorrow, our commitment to conservation knows no bounds. Today, we are thrilled to share with you a groundbreaking announcement that heralds a new chapter in our journey: the establishment of the Wild Tomorrow Conservation Centre!

Nestled in the heart of Hluhluwe, KwaZulu-Natal, the Wild Tomorrow Conservation Centre (formerly known as Amorello Africa) spans 100 acres (40 hectares). The opportunity presented itself and we seized it with the passion and dedication that fuels our organization.

The new Wild Tomorrow Conservation Centre is more than just a piece of land; it represents a future hub for collaboration, education, and community engagement. We see this as a place where the region’s conservationists can collaborate, learn and work together. A place for volunteers, researchers and birders to stay. A place for our local community to learn new skills in conservation, computing, business skills, and more! Situated adjacent to our established Greater Ukuwela Nature Reserve and expanding our total land holding to an impressive 2985 acres (1208 hectares), this acquisition bolsters our efforts to protect the delicate ecosystems along the South Bank of the Mzinene River.

We have to admit that the Wild Tomorrow Conservation Centre is a bit of a “fixer-upper”, but we see beyond its current state. One might wonder why we purchased a run-down lodge with restaurant facilities, a fitness centre, a bar, and more…but the answer lies in the unique circumstances that surrounded this purchase. This strategic move gives us infrastructure we didn’t previously have while minimizing our environmental footprint by upgrading existing infrastructure over developing on untouched land

Enthusiastic about the potential it holds, we have ambitious plans to transform it into a world-class facility. Our vision includes creating a space where conservation organizations can collaborate seamlessly, volunteers and researchers can find a home away from home, conferences and seminars can spark meaningful conversations, and local community members can learn new skills.

This expansion opens the door to a myriad of possibilities. We envision this Centre as a focal point for fostering partnerships, knowledge exchange, and community involvement. It will be a place where the passion for conservation converges with the dedication of individuals and organizations striving to make a positive impact on our planet.

Moreover, the Wild Tomorrow Conservation Centre contributes to the local community by providing much-needed employment in an area where unemployment rates are, unfortunately, high. To date, we are proud to have added three full-time team members to the Conservation Centre, bringing economic opportunities to them and their dependents/families.

Senamile Mdluli (Guest Services Supervisor), San-Marie Jolliffe (Project Supervisor), and Sbonile Gina (Maintenance and Land Care Technician) - Wild Tomorrow Conservation Centre’s new hires!

As we embark on this exciting journey, we invite our followers, supporters, and donors to join us! Stay tuned for regular updates as we unveil the transformation of the Wild Tomorrow Conservation Centre. Your continued support empowers us to turn this dream into a reality and ensure that the legacy of conservation thrives for generations to come.
