ABOUT OUR VOLUNTEER TRIPS
Today nature is in peril. Our planet’s ecosystems are in rapid decline pushing one million species towards extinction. But it’s not too late to make a difference. Join Wild Tomorrow Fund in South Africa to help endangered and threatened species and the habitats they depend on for survival.
We started hosting volunteers in 2016 after hearing from people who longed for the chance to take part in impactful hands-on conservation. Almost every past volunteer has described their experience as life changing.
You’ll spend between seven and fourteen days (depending on the trip) with our wildlife ecologists, vets, rangers and the local community, being a part of conservation work and learning about its challenges from people who have dedicated their lives to wildlife protection.

Our Wildlife Reserves
Wild Tomorrow Fund currently protects over 3,000 acres of nature reserve in Zululand, South Africa.
Our first nature reserve is the Ukuwela Conservancy. In 2015, the land was up for sale with two active bids from pineapple farmers. They would have cleared every plant, and animal to make room for mono-culture pineapples. Thanks to generous, like-minded donors, we were able to save the land and preserve it for the future.
In May 2019, we added another nature reserve to our protection, calling it the Mfuleni Conservancy. This special piece forms a corridor that will connect two large wildlife reserves together: the 80,000 acre Mun-Ya-Wana Conservancy and the World Heritage iSimangaliso Wetland Park.
We also work with private and government Reserves in our region, helping to support rangers with training and other urgently needed supplies and equipments. Our volunteer trips also offer the opportunity to experience and help out hands-on with our partners.
