Growing up Aphiwe Notshaya was a little environmentalist,she loved trees and soon developed an interest in how to protect nature. she pursued a career in Conservation by obtaining a degree in Environmental management in 2020. She has been an education volunteer guide teaching basic marine ecology at uShaka Seaworld, where she also fell in love with reptiles and is now a proud advocate for snakes. She has recently worked with the provincial climate change team in education, awareness, and interventions for the province of Kwa-Zulu-Natal, and she also holds climate change close to her heart.

She believes that education is key to ensuring conservation and that working with communities is crucial to achieve this goal.
