BARBARA ENGEL
PHOTOGRAPHER & EXPLORER

The constant passion of Barbara’s life is the natural world. She has travelled to all seven continents to explore and document nature’s extraordinary treasures. In her travels, Barbara has conducted research work on minke whales and communicated with cuttlefish while logging over 1000 dives. She supported and kept abreast of the latest Earth and Climate science as a Board member for 7 years at the esteemed Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory (the scientific research center of the Columbia Climate School and a unit of The Earth Institute at Columbia University) and is a member of numerous conservation organizations including the Explorers Club.  In the corporate world, Barbara worked as a Managing Director at several global financial services organizations including Citibank, GE Capital, and Deloitte where she did strategic planning and HR management for 17 years.

“Because I've had the opportunity to to see things that no longer exist, I'm fiercely committed to conservation. I’ve also seen what happens when we fail to protect and provide adequate habitat for the sentient inhabitants who share our planet. This is the focus of Wild Tomorrow’s work and I’m honored to support it.”
