AnimalStone’s Rosco the Rhino Pendant. For each sale of a solid sterling silver Rosco the Rhino pendant, AnimalStone will donate $15CAD to Wild Tomorrow Fund to support Rhino conservation. Designer and storyteller, Delane Cooper, hand finishes each one so each rhino is unique just as they are in the wild.

Most of us connect to animals firstly through pets, zoos or childhood storybooks. Our circle of compassion is then oftentimes extended to animals that live in the wild. In the world of international conservation, it is important to find ways to connect to people, often in distant countries who may never have the opportunity to see a rhino, elephant or lion in the wild, and inspire them to join the fight for their survival.

One way to connect is through art. Wild Tomorrow Fund is delighted to announce a new partnership with AnimalStone, a luxury animal-inspired jewellery company headquartered in Canada. Rhinos are under incredible poaching pressure, and need help from around the world so that we can ensure they have a sustainable future. Not only will this beautiful rhino pendant remind and physically connect people to the animal they love, it is also supporting the protection of rhinos in the wild in southern Africa.

For each sale of a solid sterling silver Rosco the Rhino pendant, AnimalStone will donate $15.00CAD to support Wild Tomorrow Fund's rhino conservation work in southern Africa, with an annual contribution goal of $5,000CAD. Each Rhino is hand finished by designer, Delane Cooper.

AnimalStone is a family business based in Toronto, founded by father and daughter Peter and Claire Garber. They believe that “a symbiotic relationship is needed between us and nature, humans and animals, in order to conserve our shared place here.” This desire to connect animals to people led them to create their unique, life-like animal charms, including a series of African animals, and to reach out to like-minded organizations like Wild Tomorrow Fund.

“Our vision is for our AnimalStone charms to serve as physical reminders of our connection to the animals, the planet and all living things.” said Claire, “Our ethos is one of connection, and through our relationship with Wild Tomorrow Fund, we hope to help bridge a gap and connect more animal lovers to rhinos regardless of the physical distance.” The team at AnimalStone love the power and self-assuredness exuded by rhinos and the essential part they play in ecosystems. They are also concerned for the future of rhinos. “I’m horrified by the looming threat of extinction they face due to the (unproven) use of their horns for medicinal purposes.”

Thank you to AnimalStone for your support of rhino conservation and Wild Tomorrow Fund. Please consider a Rosco the Rhino gift for yourself and other rhino lovers in your life!

AnimalStone has made it their mission to create timeless wearable art that pays homage to each animal by giving texture and life to each and every piece. The company was founded on the principal that animals have shared this planet with us since time immemorial. It is their sincere hope that their jewellery serves as a constant reminder of the profound majesty of our animal kingdom, of our place within it and most importantly, that the natural world is fine art in and of itself. www.animalstone.com
