We are delighted to announce our newest Wild Tomorrow Fund Ambassador: singer and songwriter, Justine Lynn. Justine Lynn is a Country music star hailing from Vancouver. While she may have a Canadian accent, she is South African born and raised. She grew up in Johannesburg and Durban before moving to Vancouver when she was 14 years old. She has never forgotten her South African roots and in particular, her country’s very special wildlife. That’s why she reached out to us, wanting to help.
Wild Tomorrow Fund’s Ambassadors are high-profile individuals who are passionate about our mission to save wildlife and wild places. They use their unique talents and their public profile to bring extra support and exposure for Wild Tomorrow Fund’s work. Justine is our first musician to join as an Ambassador, which is very exciting for us and our team.
Justine says she was born singing. She started with the blues, which led to a Diploma in Jazz and Contemporary Music before finding her true passion in Country Music. The past 10 years have brought hard won success for Justine and her musical talents. She released her self titled EP in May of 2019 and her single “Pour It To Me Straight” hit the top 100. This year, Justine was a final ballot nominee for the Female Artist of the Year Award and the Ray Mcauley New Emerging Artist Award at the BC Country Music Awards. Awesome! You can check out more of her music on Spotify.
Justine is helping by using her rising musical fame to help raise funds for wildlife. She is off to a big start with the launch of her merchandise line this week featuring her logo, the iconic Acacia tree. 50% of all proceeds from the sales of Justine’s merchandise will be donated directly to support Wild Tomorrow Fund’s work. Check out her store here! Her t-shirts, hats and dog bandanas will also be on sale at all of her concerts once she can tour again, sharing her music and her message of wildlife protection.
We are also putting her musical talents to work for wildlife immediately! Justine is joining us for her Wild Tomorrow Fund debut performance at our 2020 Virtual Gala on Saturday December 12th! She has a very special African song planned for all of our guests and supporters, to lift our moods and inspire action for wildlife conservation. Justine’s passion for music truly shines through when she is performing so don’t miss her performance. We hope you have your tickets already!
“It has been an incredible journey with music so far, but to become an Ambassador for wildlife is very special to me, to be able to give back in a small way”, said Justine. “I am SO honored and proud to be a part of the Wild Tomorrow Fund team, playing a small part in the incredible work the team is doing. To conserve the animals, land and support the incredible people of my home and heritage makes me so happy. Of all the things I have done in my career, this I hope will have the biggest impact.”
Justine’s dream is for her grandchildren’s children to still have the opportunity to see the incredible wildlife of South Africa. It’s a dream we share, working together to ensure there is a wild tomorrow.
Thank you Justine, we are so excited to walk this path with you. Thank you for your passion for both music and wildlife protection.
