WILD TOMORROW’S JUNIOR BOARD SPRINGS INTO ACTION

Our Junior Board has been hard at work this year! From organizing a high-energy 5K for the Wild to hosting Trivia Nights and Wine Walks, they’ve brought creativity and passion to every event. All of their efforts support one powerful mission: protecting wildlife and wild spaces —right from their own backyard in NYC. Check out the incredible impact they're making in our latest blog below!

5K for the Wild runners: Just one of 6 events planned by our Junior Board across NYC this Summer!

Celebrating Community, Creativity, and Conservation Across NYC

With the first half of 2025 wrapped and in the rear-view mirror, we’re thrilled to share the momentum and impact that the Wild Tomorrow Junior Board has built through an inspiring series of summer fundraising events—right here across New York City. June and July were brimming with creativity, commitment, and community, and thanks to our passionate board members, the energy around our mission has never been stronger.

Across all the series of events, 153 people attended which helped to spread the word about Wild Tomorrow’s mission. Collectively, these efforts by our first Junior Board have already raised $14,745—enough to protect 15 acres of habitat through our upcoming purchase of a pineapple farm we’re working to add to our reserve. This month, we’ll be launching a broader fundraising campaign to secure the property and its vital ecosystems for good.

It’s incredible to see how our events—whether they’re spin classes, wine nights, or trivia—translate into something so tangible: acres of land protected forever. It’s a reminder that community action really can shape the future for wildlife.

Check Out The Events!

Pizza, Wine & Purpose: On June 12th, Monia and Lucille hosted an intimate Pizza and Wine Night at Sotto 13, welcoming over 15 guests for an evening of food, connection, and purpose. Attendees had the unique opportunity to hear directly from Wild Tomorrow’s co-founder, John Steward, gaining insight into our work on the ground in southern Africa. The event sparked meaningful conversation and new enthusiasm around protecting wildlife and wild spaces—and successfully raised $2,500 in support of Wild Tomorrow’s mission.

Pizza & Craft Beer Night: Lucy Lu kept the NYC classics alive at Carmine Street Beers in the West Village, raising an impressive $3,600 in total. The night brought together supporters over delicious pizza, local brews, and stories of conservation impact.

Spin for Wildlife: Izzy and Miranda turned up the tempo with a high-energy spin class in NYC. This sweat-filled session raised both heart rates and $1,835 for wildlife, bringing people together in support of the wild.

5K for the Wild: Dan, Kaila, and Megs laced up their sneakers and put paws to pavement, running a 5K to raise $1,750 for wildlife. Their dedication is already fueling conservation work on the ground.

Trivia for a Cause: Michael and Will hosted a wildly fun Wildlife Trivia Night, welcoming 30 enthusiastic participants who tackled questions about animals, scientists, quirky wildlife facts, and more. Their efforts paid off—$2,800 raised in one evening!

Wine, Walks & Wanderlust: Alexy brought elegance to giving with an intimate blind wine tasting, inviting 10 generous supporters to guess varietals, notes, and regions from a curated cellar selection. She’s also taking on the Camino de Santiago, walking 100km to raise funds, and has already surpassed her goal, securing $2,265 for the wild.

Stay tuned for a culinary experience to design a wildlife-inspired set menu, possibly infused with South African flavors with Zach Russell.

Every dollar raised contributes to saving countless animal lives and preserving fragile ecosystems.

To our Junior Board: Thank you for your drive, imagination, and tireless support.

And to our community: stay tuned. The wild is calling, and together, we’re answering louder than ever!
