CAROL CISZEK
BOARD DIRECTOR
How did you become inspired to help African wildlife conservation?
I've always had a passion for animals and currently am involved with Pet Partners Therapy Dog Program with my 2 dogs. After my first visit to South Africa, including the land that has now become Ukuwela Conservancy 3 years ago, my love of African wildlife blossomed especially for the giraffe and the elusive yet to be seen pangolin. I first visited South Africa and the land with John and Wendy, the founders of the Wild Tomorrow. The visit included the opportunity to see first hand the vast diversity of wildlife, the challenges that the area had and the opportunities that was possible in this region of the world. What Wild Tomorrow was able to accomplish while gaining the respect and partnership of the people and communities in such a short period of time was inspiring. I truly believe combining our the love of African wildlife, land and people, in partnership with others who have a passion, we can ensure the future for these magnificent animals.
Why did you choose to join the Board?
Simply said - I want to be part of the solution. I am honored to be part of a team that is passionate, inspired, pragmatic and focused. I believe my business acumen and experience in issues management can support the continued development of Wild Tomorrow’s strategy and execution of the mission.
What inspires you the most about Wild Tomorrow's mission?
I am inspired by the team, the accomplishments to date and the plans for the future. One can not help but be inspired by Wild Tomorrow’s understanding of the interconnectedness of the animals, the land, the employees, the communities and the other non-profits working to save these precious resources.
