At Wild Tomorrow, we believe it is vitally important to support individuals who are passionate about wildlife conservation yet do not have the access or financial resources to gain education, training, or equitable access to wildlife and wild spaces.

Our multi-faceted education program is centered around our new Wild Tomorrow Conservation Center and our partnership with Lessons in Conservation, a local South Africa NGO dedicated to educating children, and connecting them to nature and conservation. The expanding array of educational programs we proudly offer and support are:

  • Educating the future stewards of our planet via Lessons in Conservation. Our passionate education partner NGO brings nature into children’s hearts across southern Africa. Their network of teachers span across 10 African countries, and aim to educate 20,000 children by the end of 2026 from underprivileged communities that have limited access to nature. Children are taught basic ecological principles and the importance of conservation, creating a long-lasting connection to wildlife and wild spaces.

  • Early childhood education. We have built, repaired and supported three kindergarten “creches” in our neighboring Mduku community, supporting 90-100 children and their dedicated school teachers across each school year. We provide ongoing operational support including food for daily school lunches, teacher stipends, water tanks & school photo days.

  • Skills-based education for local people passionate about nature, including our staff rangers and green mambas, on wildlife awareness, specialized technical training for rangers and reserve mangers, computer skills and other educational topics to develop future conservation leaders.

OUR GOALS

"In the end we will conserve only what we love,

we will love only what we understand,

and we will understand only what we are taught."

Baba Dioum - Senegalese forester

In South Africa, education opportunities are deeply inequitable, and children in rural areas are falling behind. Additionally, in rural areas, many people are not able to fully appreciate their own country’s amazing wildlife as wildlife reserves are out of reach. Most have never seen an elephant, rhino, or giraffe.

Please support the Wild Tomorrow Education Fund. Help us to build the stepping stones for the future stewards of some of our planet’s most precious biodiversity.
