INDIA ROSE MATHARU-DALEY
CONSERVATION IMPACT DIRECTOR
Although she was born in New York City and raised in London, India always felt a deep emotional connection to animals and nature. She studied art history at the University of Cambridge and then moved to Los Angeles in search of sunshine. There, India joined an edtech startup focused on democratizing access to high-quality educational content online.
Once she saw that she could apply her business experience to fighting climate change and environmental degradation, she decided to pursue an MBA in Sustainable Solutions at Presidio Graduate School, the first academic institution in the US to offer a green business degree.
India developed a special interest in impact investing and subsequently worked with a number of sustainability-focused investors and startups to improve environmental and social outcomes from their work. Her first professional experience in conservation before joining Wild Tomorrow was a project on small-scale fisheries in Mexico, which inspired her to dive into working full-time to protect wildlife.
