2024
WORLD RANGER DAY CAMPAIGN

Every year, we run a #WorldRangerDay campaign in July to help support the rangers at the more underfunded reserves in our region. These rangers are on the frontlines of wildlife conservation, and they need our help to get the essential items and training they lack due to limited budgets.

This year, our goal is to raise $50,000, and thanks to the generous support from our partners at the Shinemaker Foundation, every dollar donated will be matched up to $25,000! Donate by July 31st to have your donation matched dollar for dollar!

YOUR SUPPORT MAKES A DIFFERENCE.

Your donations will go directly to providing the following:

MOST URGENTLY NEEDED

Whether it’s boots, uniforms, tools, equipment, ranger training, or any other critical need, your donation ensures that these rangers have the resources to continue their vital work. Wildlife rangers dedicate their lives to protecting wild animals from poachers, and sometimes their efforts fall short if they lack the basic equipment and tools for the job. We don’t want this very solvable problem to be the reason that wildlife suffers.

RANGER BOOTS & UNIFORMS

Rangers need sturdy boots and uniforms to perform their duties effectively. Your donation will provide high quality gear to protect and support these rangers in the field. Will you help us reach our goal of providing 147 pairs of boots, 126 sets of uniforms, and 64 jackets?

TOOLS & EQUIPMENT

From torches to radios, camping tents to sleeping bags, backpacks to laptops, these are some of the many tools and equipment items requested by Reserve Managers in the region. The right tools are essential for rangers to monitor wildlife, track poachers, and ensure the safety of our reserves. Your contribution will equip rangers with the tools they need to succeed.

RANGER TRAINING

This year, we are excited to introduce a new focus on ranger training! Investing in ranger training is crucial for enhancing their skills and effectiveness in protecting wildlife. This year, we are hosting a Wildlife Crime Scene Investigative Techniques course in partnership with Wildlife Defense. We aim to cover the costs for all government reserves to attend (including food, accommodation, and take-home equipment/materials). Your support ensures rangers receive the training they need to combat wildlife crime effectively. Will you sponsor 1 ranger to attend the training? Or 5 rangers? 10 rangers?

DOUBLE YOUR IMPACT

From now until August 1st, our friends at the Shinemaker Foundation are matching every donation dollar for dollar up to $25,000! This means your support will go TWICE AS FAR in helping our rangers. Thanks to their incredible generosity, we have the chance to raise $50,000 for ranger support in 2024!

Donate by World Ranger Day to have your gift matched and double your impact! Let’s work together to equip our rangers with the ressources they need to succeed!
