STAND UP FOR WILDLIFE COMEDY NIGHT 2026
On September 9th, Wild Tomorrow was back at Gotham Comedy Club for our 2026 Annual Stand Up For Wildlife Comedy Night — our most successful comedy night to date! From an incredible lineup of comedians to an exciting new land acquisition announcement, it was a night to remember. Read on to hear more about this amazing evening.

Ready for Wild Tomorrow!
We had a fantastic lineup of comedians who kept the crowd laughing all night long! From performers featured on The Late Late Show with James Corden to The Kevin Hart Show, our comedians brought the fun, energy, and plenty of laughs to the stage.
A huge thank you to Gotham Comedy Club for always being such an amazing host. We are honored to hold our annual Stand Up For Wildlife Comedy Night at Gotham each year and are so grateful for their continued support.
SAVING LEMVELO
We also had the exciting opportunity to tell the audience about a new 300-acre piece of land that Wild Tomorrow is working to acquire in South Africa: Lemvelo.
This 300-acre property is a critical piece of our wildlife corridor. Bordering the UNESCO World Heritage Site iSimangaliso Wetland Park, once protected, Lemvelo will become an important part of our connected wildlife corridor, expanding the existing Greater Ukuwela Nature Reserve.
LemVelo means “nature” in isiZulu, and its landscape contains critically endangered Dry Sand Forest, one of South Africa’s rarest ecosystems. It also provides habitat for incredible wildlife, including leopards, suni antelope, giraffes, and a remarkable diversity of birdlife.
Proceeds from our comedy night will directly support the purchase of Lemvelo, helping us expand and protect this crucial wildlife corridor for generations to come.

NAMING OUR NEW BABY GIRAFFE

There was another very special reason to celebrate at this year’s comedy night. Just two weeks ago, a brand-new baby giraffe was born on the Greater Ukuwela Nature Reserve!
During the evening, we auctioned the naming rights to this adorable new arrival, along with a beautiful framed photograph — and what a successful auction it was!
We want to give a huge thank you to everyone who placed a bid, and an extra-special thank you to Zani for winning the naming rights with a whopping $5,000 donation! He has chosen the name Shqipe, meaning “Eagle” in Albanian, a symbol for the beautiful mountains of his home country, Albania.
Zani’s generous donation will support our purchase of LemVelo and give this newborn giraffe and his family the gift of expanded habitat for a healthier, wilder future.
